Daddy's Favorite: A Dominant Protector Romance Page 3

“The ladies room is. Not sure about the men’s.” She crosses her arms, securing herself on the wall next in line.

Are you really going to wait out here? I rock on my heels, deciding what to do. Do you want to call your dad in front of her? Nope. “Do you mind?” I push past her, and check the men’s room door. It’s unlocked. “Slut,” I hear, as I shut and lock the door behind me.

The tight room could’ve passed for a women’s restroom if it wasn’t for the urinal on the wall. And the smell. It wasn’t stinky like one would expect, just overpowering from a citrus air freshener working double time.

I’m not venturing to go near the fixtures, so I pull my phone out from my spot with my back against the door. First I memorize the number in the text, then I dial it. It rings and a tired, but commanding voice answers, “Hello.”

“Um, hello. My name is Adelaide Cantrell and my dad left me a message to call him it at this number. Is he okay?”

“Addie. Yes. Sorry to worry you.” The man’s voice perks up and I imagine the caller sits up in bed. “Your dad had a fall. I used his phone to leave you the message. He’s asked me to call you, but I didn’t know exactly what to say. Still don’t.”

The more he talks. The more his voice sounds familiar. It can’t be him. “Sebastian?” I say almost in a whisper, but I must have said it out loud, cause he answers.

“Yes, Addie. I understand if you’re confused. I should have contacted you months ago. The way we left things was wrong.” He pauses. “Your dad’s wishes got in my way. My desires clouded my better judgement.”

What is he saying? Ten months pass with no word from him. I obsess over this man to have him contact me for the first time on my dad’s behalf. “I’m confused. Why did you call tonight?”

“This is difficult for me to say.” He takes a deep breath so hard that I can almost see his chest rise and fall even thought we are speaking on the phone. “Your dad asked me to take care of you. If something happened. Those are the papers I dropped off that day. I’m your guardian.”

“Has—has—something happened?” Tears form and stream down my cheeks. Sebastian’s face is gone, replaced with my dad’s. All the worst outcomes from dad falling run through my thoughts. “Is daddy?” I gasp unable to finish.

“No, no, darling!” Sebastian, says quickly. “He just fell, but he’s going to need surgery. Can you come home?”

“Oh, okay.” I take a deep breath and wipe my eyes. “I can’t leave tonight. Can I call you tomorrow?”

“Sure thing, sweetheart,” he says with a smooth confidence. “Save my number. And Addie, don’t worry about your dad. He has good doctors. He’s going to pull through just fine.”

The call ends. I turn, in a daze, and walk back to the bar. I pass Wallace, the bitchy woman, Kara, and the organizer at the door without stopping. I have no words. Only thoughts playing out in my head. I have to go home. He called. I’m going to see him again. I can make things right. I have a second chance.

  Chapter Three

  Sebastian

Damn that was a tough call. I pour another drink of the same scotch I’d poured before I texted Adelaide earlier. I’ve contacted numerous family and friends with estate matters. Some with grave outcomes. Addie has it easy. Phil’s only going to need surgery. This time. Maybe I jumped the gun. The fall wasn’t that bad. It’d been easier on me if I’d waited and let Phil ride out the storm without worrying her.

  Fuck it.

I know why I called her. Even if it is for selfish reasons they’re worth it. She’s made me a better man this past year. I throw myself into my work. I don’t date anymore. No woman thrills me enough to ask out, just to pass the time. Forgot about sleeping around. Calling Addie about her father was the right thing to do.

I take the last sip of my drink and shake the ice in the glass. Enough. Hearing her sweet voice echo in my head is getting to me. Hell, she got to me from the first kiss I stole. I’m tortured, held captive by desire to possess her for my own pleasure.

She, she’s gorgeous! I sink deeper back into my sofa and rest my head on the back cushion. My boxers are too tight for my stiffening erection, so I adjust myself. Damn, Addie! Why do you effect me so hard? I should ignore my lust for her, but it’s consuming me. My shameless want to be her everything is out of control. I turn the waist down on my boxers, pull my dick out, and stroke myself. I picture my Addie in her teeny yellow bikini with every pull on my shaft and feel the coming release take over.

She’s naked on the lounger outside. The sun beats down on her glistening body, her legs spread open, and she’s quivering to be taken hard. I stroke my dick harder, groaning to have her.

“Yes, I want to see you. I want to see you come.” I imagine her say. Hearing her innocent voice speak words she shouldn’t speak heightens my arousal.

“Do it now. Take my virgin pussy and make me come.”

Fuck! I’m close to exploding. What I wouldn’t give to see her spread out naked, trembling with desire, longing to be filled by my hard cock. I grip harder and yank faster, embracing the surging in my balls. I tense, closer to orgasm.

“Yes, Addie! Fuck! I’m inside you. Filling your throbbing pussy with my cum. You love it! I’m stretching you wide and fucking you raw! I can’t stop! Come for me!” I expel, letting out a guttural groan and shaking off a hard rope of creamy white seed.

“Damn!” I exhale, convulsing off my explosion. “I’m too involved. Gone too far. I can’t see her when she comes. I can’t not see her.” I thread my hands in my hair and yank at the roots. “I have to make her mine. There’s no other way. I have to take the risk. She has to give me a second chance at conquering her love.”

Sleep is hard the rest of the night. The more I toss and turn, the more I desire Addie to be by my side in the bed. By sunrise I’m plotting the timing of her arrival. I can’t guess when she’ll leave for the six hour drive, but I’ve decided to clear my schedule so I’ll be available when she crosses into the city limits.

In the shower, I wrestle with the decision to text her or not. If she’s driving, my text might endanger her on the road. If she isn’t on the road yet, it means a longer wait until I can hold her in my arms. The ball’s in her court. She has the power. For now.

“Peg, I’m heading straight to the hospital.” I call my assistant from the wireless headset in my car. “Can you handle things in the office?”

  “No worries,” she answers.

I hang up confident she’ll have my back and make another, more important call. “Phil? They let you answer the phone?”

“For now,” he answers. “I’m being transferred. I’ll update you later from my cell.”

“Did you get a call from Adelaide?”

“She texted this morning. She’ll be here soon. Can you intercept her? Keep her company while I get settled at my new accommodations.”

If he’s really asking me this, then she didn’t mention me when she texted. He must have no idea the feelings I have about his daughter. It’s better this way. I don’t even know my true feelings. Not until I see her again. Until I know if she’s forgiven me. If she’s going to give me a second chance.

“No problem. I’m here for you. What floor are you moving to?”

“The Bone and Joint Hospital down town.” The new location is all the information he has about his transfer. I wish him safe travels in the ambulance and disconnect the call.

Shit, Phil! Bone and Joint and North Hospital can’t be further apart. One’s down town, one’s far North. I’ve just left down town in heavy traffic on my way to North Hospital. He couldn’t have been admitted to the closer location yesterday. My luck isn’t that good.

Before they loaded him in for the ride, he forwarded Addie’s text. By my calculations of when she left and typical drive time, she should already have arrived. Hope I don’t miss her at the hospital. I pull up, park my car, and hustle my ass into the lobby. It seems I’m a little late.

Out of my peripheral vision, I noti
ce a young lady speaking with the receptionist at North Hospital. It’s Adelaide. Their voices are low, she’s explaining herself to the woman behind the desk. I watch their exchange from a distance. It gives me a chance to soak in every detail I’ve longed to miss about her. There’s so much I don’t know about the girl I’m in love with. I crave to embrace all of her eccentricities. Every quirk.

She’s the sexiest woman I’ve ever seen and she doesn't even know it. Look at her. A vision of beauty. The way she impatiently taps her toes. Her disappointed sigh when hearing bad news. Even her hair haphazardly pulled up into a hair clip is entrancing.“Where is my father?” she asks the receptionist and lets her purse drop to the floor.

Don’t stress. I’m here, Addie. I’ll take care of you. And you’ll be mine soon enough. As much as I want to continue to watch her, I have to rush to her rescue. “There you are,” I exclaim, letting my presence be known behind her. I stride fast, letting my confidence in the situation lead the way. “It’s okay.” I say to the receptionist. “This is Phil Cantrell’s daughter. I can vouch for her.” I wink. The receptionist grins.

She turns my direction. Her face lights up with relief. The joy and confusion on her face warms my heart. “Sebastian. What’s going on?”

“Miss Cantrell, your father has been transferred to Bone and Joint. He’s going to be fine. We can text you his new room number as soon as he’s checked in.”

Her worries about her dad satisfied, Adelaide turns back to me. “I didn’t think I’d see you so soon on this trip.” She takes her hair down and it falls over her shoulder. I fight the urge to pull her body to smash against mine in a tight embrace.

“I would’ve texted, but I assumed you were driving.” I outstretch my hand for her to take. She locks her hand in mine. The feeling of her soft flesh secured in my grasp is enough to make my cock jump. “I’m here extremely glad we ran into each other.” She reaches down for her purse and I pull her away from the reception desk. “Let’s find someplace quiet to catch up. I guess I have some explaining to do.”

“Yes, Sebastian. You do.” There’s a hint of hurt in her voice, but she allows me to keep a hand on her lower back while I lead her out the exit door.

I have to find a way to make up the last ten months of silence that I gave her. Find a way to win her over. Let her know I still care. The front of the hospital is a circle drive for patient drop offs. Beyond that is a parking lot. The nearest space for privacy is a smokers patio to the right. There’s a few benches and one shade tree. It’s the closest place I can find where we can be alone. It’ll have to do. I can’t wait any longer. I have to explain myself now.

Crossing from the door to the patio, she laments about her dad’s fall. Her voice is melodic to my ears. I feel like a louse, but I don’t care what she’s saying, I just want to listen to her speak. Having her near me, smelling her scent, hearing her voice, stirs every cell in my body. And they’re all rushing to my crotch. All I want to do is satisfy my rock hard rod by backing her up to a wall and taking her hard. But I can’t. She’s a virgin. My friend’s daughter. My ward. My lust for her is strong, but does she share this lust? Did our kiss mean nothing to her? Or everything? Be a man. Ask her what her feelings are.

“Addie.” I pause her ramblings about driving so far and having to drive even more to see her dad. “Are you avoiding an issue?”

“Who me? No, I’m just upset.” She fidgets, rubbing her hands up and down her thighs. “Why should it bother me that you’re the one here, waiting for me? You’re my guardian.”

The core is revealed. She know this is wrong, but it feels too right. Her words say she doesn’t care, but her body language is leaning into me. She wanted me to be here. I regulate my breathing, listening to the sound of her hands rushing along the fabric of her jeans. How long has your heart smoldered to be near my flames?

“I’m going to come right out and say something.” I cover her fragile hands with mine. Such contrast. She trembles. Scared of our future. I hold steadfast for our love. “I have feelings for you, Adelaide. They’re the same as I had before you ran away. They haven’t changed. If anything, your absence has increased my desire to be near you.” My grasp is so close to her purity, but I refrain from spreading my fingers and stealing a tempting caress. The heat between us is undeniable. “Tell me you feel the same. Tell me I’m not a fool. That you’ll give me a chance to show you how devoted I am to winning you over.”

“Why? Why do you say this now?” She’s uncomfortable, but instead of pulling away, she drops her head on my shoulder. “Why did you wait to tell me? Why didn’t you call, text, or message me? I’ve been thinking about you too. I thought I was the fool. I messed things up.”

“Why is that?” I lift her chin up by one finger so that I can look her in the eyes. “Lover, I’ve clung to the memory of our first kiss. You’re all I can think of morning, noon, and night.” Sparks draw our lips together, I can taste her sweetness already. I inch forward to take my prize.

“No.” She turns away, folds her arms, and speaks over her shoulder. “You took advantage of me. I opened my heart and you pulled away. Said we were all wrong for each other. How has it changed?” She bolts up to run away, but I lock onto her wrist.

“Stay, dammit!” I jerk her back, pulling her down on my lap. Securing her in place on my stiff erection, I know she immediately understands the pain I feel for loving her. She has to know the pleasure that giving in to our love can bring. “Don’t run from me. Tell me what your heart says.”

“You can’t force me.” She wiggles to be let go and it feels excruciatingly good. I’m beyond aroused to have her on my lap, so I don’t hold back from bucking underneath her. It works to crack her wall of resistance. The mood turns playful. She rocks with me, caressing my cock with her ass. “Maybe you can force me. A little. I might like that.”

“That’s my girl.” I slide a hand up her blouse and search for a breast to squeeze. I cup over her mound and she pushes my hand back down.

“Stop. Someone will see us,” she blushes.

“How about this?” I wedge a hand between her thighs and rub my thumb on her clit. She’s warm, inviting, and I pulsing for me to tickle her quivering pussy lips.

  “That’s okay. I like that.”

“Addie, I know we have an odd connection. Your father chose me to watch over you for very different reasons than for why you’re sitting on my lap right now.” My legs tense, as my erection grows harder to impale her on it. “I won’t deny myself of you any longer. I won’t force you either. Say the word. Give me a chance and I’ll make you the happiest woman on the planet.”

“You’ll have to make me a woman first.” She falls into me, dropping an arm down on my shoulder, and nuzzling her lips to rest on my neck. “I’m still a virgin.”

The promise of making her a woman rushes through my veins. The idea of being her first excites me harder than any other thought. I can’t believe she’s still pure. She’s all mine to teach. Every raw and dirty, sex position I’ve ever done, she has yet to learn. I’m beside myself thinking of where to start.

“Yes. A thousand times yes.” I force our lips together and kiss her hard. Her luscious lips bring out the animal in me. After months of fantasizing about her sensuousness, I devour every second of our embrace. I’m sloppily kissing my love and I don’t care who sees me.

A ring from her phone destroys our lustful lock. She pulls away, resting her forehead on mine, and keeping her lips close. “It might be dad.” She gives me a peck, unable to tear herself apart so quickly. “I’d better answer it.”

“Yes, you better.” I grip her tighter around the waist, letting her know she’s not to leave my lap. She bends down for the strap of her purse and fishes her phone out.

“It’s him.” She raises it to her ear and speaks into the phone. “Hi, daddy. How are you? Where are you.”

I’m still writhing to possess her for my own. I can’t sit still. I drag my lips up and down her arm, while she
pauses silently to listen to her dad on the other end of the call.

“Okay. I understand. See you tomorrow. Love you. Bye.” She drops the phone back into her purse. “He said visiting hours are over. But he’s doing fine.”

“Then it’s settled.” I open my palm. “Give me your keys and I’ll drive you home.”

“But.” She hesitates and tickles her fingertips in my palm. “What about your car?”

“It’s safe here. I’ll call my assistant, Peg to come and get it.” Truth is I can’t bear the thought of letting her out of my sight. I’ll pay in cold coffee for a month at making Peg drive out for this task, but Addie’s worth it. “Come on. You’ve been driving for hours. I insist.”

She caves quickly, hands me the keys and we’re on our way. Be a gentleman, I tell myself walking her to the passenger side and opening the door.

“I’ve been thinking about trying something,” she says, flashing me a shy smile, before stepping out of my arms. “Do men really like blowjobs in the car?” She ducks down in to the seat, leaving me paralyzed by shock, processing what she’s just said.

You—do they—do you—to—me—hell yes! I rush around and fall into the driver’s seat. “Are you serious?” I would’ve questioned more, but she’s sitting turned sideways with one foot up under her ass. Her chest is bursting out of the top of her blouse. I’m mesmerized that she’s considering servicing me. “Oh, hell yes,” I moan, giving into lust. I open my fly, giving my stiff much needed room to breathe. “Have at it. He’s all yours.”

“Don’t you have to start car first?” she giggles, walking her fingers over to my crotch. Stroking along the length, over my boxers she sighs, “Teach me to be a bad girl.”

“How bad do you want to be?” I lean in for a kiss and she meets me halfway, crushing her hand on my dick. It’s too tempting to throw her down and break her barrier right there in the front seat. I resist temptation and sit back. “I’d better start the car.”
